Waking up and still feeling sick. Now a cough in my lungs, hurts.
Was forgetting to eat breakfast but then I went to the blog "The Amazing Adventures of Diet Girl" and started reading the top 20 tips and breakfast was right up there. So I went to make breakfast.
So she also starts out with the "big picture" and figuring out where you want to be and what your end game looks like. So what do I want to change? Where do I want to be one year from now?
Well I want to change my weight and how I look and feel in clothes. I want to have more energy and be better able to play with the kids. So the Numbers - By 'October 1 2010' I would like to weigh no more than 145 lbs. I would like to lose about 55lbs in 50 weeks. Looking for 1 lb a week, hopefully not more than I can do.
Keeping it going
Breakfast:
Tea with 2 tbsp skim milk, 2 tsp sugar
Ribena 2 tbsp in large glass of water
2 pieces flax toast with butter
2 poached eggs
Lunch:
Small Bun with 3 pieces of Salamai and Havarti, mustard and may0
1 cup grapes
Snacks:
Original Bumble Bar
Yogurt with Brown Sugar
Dinner:
1 1/2 Tacos with Hamburger, cheese, guacamole, sour cream and peppers
2 chocoloate cloude cookies
1 glass of milk
2 small glasses of wine

A New Start
October 20, 2009 - 198 lbs
How the heck did this happen, I have been hovering close for a while now but to step on the scale and know that 200 lbs is here is not so cool. At only 5'3" it's downright dangerous.
I'm a believer in living and eating what I like, why should I spend all my time eating what I'm supposed to not what I want? It doesn't make sense to me to deprive myself of something simple and beautiful like food. I love to cook and I love to eat and the thing is it's all about real food. I don't want or even like prepackaged foods, in fact it's a bit of a joke because my husband knows that if we buy something prepackaged it will most likely wind up in the garbage a few years later. A few exceptions, I like premade crackers, ice cream, phyllo, and puff pastry, cookies and chips and dip mix. And that's about that other than that I'd eat everything from scratch in my house. Total reversal when it comes to restaurants; which I think is part of the problem. Also love to eat out, would much rather not have to worry about what to order and again feel like I should be able to eat whatever I want not the smartest choice.
With two small kids to set and example for (and a 5 year old girl who just told me that I was fat today) I need to revamp and revise what I'm doing. Not cool to be doing what I'm doing in the moment and really can't handle the idea that the scale will offically tip 200. So here we go I'm going to start small, just writing down what I'm eating and how I'm feeling. From there I think I'll be better able to see what changes I need to make and where I can make them. So really this is for me, here we go....
Day 1:
Feeling - I have a cold and working from home, not feeling great, deadlines, procrastination and a sick kid at home too.
Food -
Breakfast:
Starbucks Apple Turnover
Starbucks Grande Vanilla Latte 2% milk
Lunch:
Cheese String
1.5 cups Plain Yogurt with 2 Tbsp Brown Sugar
Dinner:
1 piece of mozzarella
1 piece of Pizza - peppers, sundried tomatoes, kalamata olives, mozz and parmesan
water, water and more water... that's normal though. I do drink a tonne of water.
So that's it... Day 1
